Aerator Septic Tank

Typically the aerator is found in the center chamber of the septic tank and will require an electrical supply of some sort to function. Think of a big over sized fish tank pump and bubble software and that is basically water that a septic tank aerator is. It will offer a constant supply of oxygen rich air to the effluent and permit the valuable facultative bacteria to flourish. 


While an aerator septic tank will lengthen the life span of any septic software it has to be recalled that proper maintenance and routine inspections are still needed. Failure to do both of these things will result in problems that even a properly ventilated software will be not able to take care of. Living in the boonies normally means using a self contained waste water/sewage treatment software more commonly called a septic software. 

Using an aeration software from the septic tank is 1 way of ensuring that your software is functioning in an extremely efficient manner. Facultative bacteria are unique because they need oxygen but can survive in an anaerobic atmosphere. They can do it by using oxygen obtained from different sources like food partly digested food items. When they obtain oxygen in this manner they release hydrogen sulfide gas that gives off a rotten egg odor. 

Providing oxygen via an aeration software will alleviate this problem since the germs will stop generating the hydrogen sulfide gas and emit a more agreeable odor that smells like dirt. Aerobic bacteria thrive in an oxygen rich environment while anaerobic bacteria do not need oxygen to grow and replicate. There aren't a good deal of both of these kinds of bacteria found in a septic software, but they may be found there. An aeration tank is a fantastic option for new systems or if you're considering replacing your existing tank. 


You might also have an aerator installed in an existing tank in a maintenance cycle which includes pumping out and cleaning the tank. The reason an aerator septic tank works better then a normal tank is actually quite simple it adds more oxygen to the software which contributes to better waste material breakdown. More oxygen helps two of the three kinds of bacteria that reside in the software procedure more sewer then they normally would in a non-aerated software. 

Facultative bacteria are also more competitive in their ingestion of sewage under aerated conditions. This contributes to cleaner waste water leaving the tank to the drain field and increases its life.
